The Towers and the Pentagon (9/11)

A Tower one day say to the Pentagon:
"You have a good right to blame the terror of thing:
A large plane for you is a heavy weight to carry on.
The slightest crash which is wrinkling
The face of the grass you seat on
Compels you to bow your head:
While my brow, like Mount Marcy,
Not satisfied with catching the rays of the sunny,
Resists the effort of the raid.
All for you is Al Qaeda, all seems to me soft crush.
Still, if you had been born in the protection of buildings
Of which I cover the surroundings,
You would not have suffered so much:
I would defend you from the assailings.
But you come to be on most occasions
On protected areas in the united nations.
Terrorists seem to me quite unjust to you toward.
"Your compassion, answered the small Courtyard,
Arises from a kind nature; but leave off this care.
Terrorists are less fearful to me than to you.
I break and do not fall. You have until now been spare
Against their blows, as frightening as a bolt from the blue,
Stood up without collapsing your wall;
But look out for what can be". As the Pentagon made this call,
>From the edge of the horizon furiously awakes
The most terrible of the progeny
Which the East has till then contained within its boundary.
The Towers hold up well; the Courtyard breaks.
The terrorists double their trying;
And does so well that it collapses
That, the head of which was neighbor to the breezes,
And the feet of which touched the empire of the dead missing.

Why do you want the flipbook?
