ISBN/Oprah/Book Club/Scaled |
|
This portrait combines the density and scale of each barcode to create a greater gradation from white to black. I increased the value range in this portrait by proportionally shrinking the barcodes from the previous halftone. I also created a barcode signature, in the bottom left corner, which I made with the ISBN number from the book that inspired me to create a barcode halftone, "Real World Halftone and Scanning." I sent a 60-inch poster of this one to Oprah in March 2001 and have gotten no response. |
