Large scale portraits of Jesus, Madonna, Warhol, Reagan, Oprah and Gates are entirely made up by minuscule barcodes, cleverly assembled through a computer program Blake created. Given meaning beyond the use of bars aesthetically, the encrypted lines of code used to form faces of Americas most notorious business icons are related to the identity of the person pictured. Madonna is created with barcodes off her CDs. Warhol is composed with codes from Campbells soup cans. Jesus appears from barcodes that read as scripture from the bible when scanned. |
